HOSTSHARD LEGAL
Terms & Privacy
Last updated: August 20, 2026. These terms are written for the current HostShard test platform and should be reviewed before public launch.
TERMS
Acceptable use
HostShard is for hosting legitimate Discord bots that follow Discord’s Terms of Service, Discord Developer Policy, and applicable law. You may not host selfbots, nukebots, spambots, raiding tools, token grabbers, malware, phishing, credential theft, scanners, DDoS tools, or code designed to abuse Discord or third-party services.
HostShard may remove, suspend, blacklist, or disable any bot or account that appears abusive, unsafe, illegal, or harmful to the platform, Discord users, the host machine, or the network.
DATA
What HostShard stores
Bot name, description, language, plan, owner, runtime state, resource usage, and setup status may be stored.
Files uploaded through the panel are stored on the HostShard server so the bot can run.
Console output and errors may be stored so users can debug their bots and admins can investigate abuse.
PRIVACY
Tokens and security
Bot tokens are stored encrypted by HostShard. Users should still treat tokens as sensitive secrets and regenerate them if they are posted publicly, shared with someone else, or exposed in logs/source code.
HostShard can scan uploaded code for abuse patterns such as spam, raids, mass DMs, destructive Discord actions, suspicious networking, or behavior that may violate Discord rules.
ENFORCEMENT
Limits, bans, and removals
Accounts may have bot limits, file limits, folder limits, runtime limits, and access restrictions. HostShard admins may remove bots, adjust limits, ban users, or disable runtime access if needed to protect the service.
